Hi all! I'm very new to all of this>
I've always loved the idea of taking pictures but have always been to scared to show them to anyone or bring it up and get the attention drawn to me, but next year I'm turning 30 and I'm taking that as a challenge, I've got myself a real camere a Nikon D40.
I have no idea of how to use it really and am just playing with it at the moment, but it makes me feel so good to take pictures...
And now I found this community and it feels like home...
anyone in london who wants to talk/teach or head out in the night for picture takings pls let me know...
I'm looking forward to your honest opionons and I promise to give mine...
lots of love
Linda
Hi Linda, thanxx so much for your nice comment. When I first signed up here I was embarassed of my fotos because of all those literally perfect pictures of others. But meanwhile I found so many perfect but lifeless and boring pics, that I dont care anymore. Take fotos of the things that touch you and they will be interesting to look at. Good luck, Markus
I'm wishing you have a great time here...
Many thanks for your sweet words Linda. Feel free to ask anything, most people here in FC are willing to help if they can.
Lights On.

Thank you for your kind words on my photo "People forget dead people". I find this scene very desolante, and I think that indeed, sometimes people forget dead people ...
I work I little on Photoshop to make the effect more powerful, to exprime better this feeling that I have in that time.
Hi Linda, your words "but it makes me feel so good to take pictures..." are very nice and a wonderfull feeling. Welcome in this forum. Many fun with a lot of photographers an so much pictures.
Greetings from Werner in Germany
I joined for very similar reasons about 2 months ago and am loving it.
I really like the comments (when I get them!) although people usually say only good things and don't often post helpful suggestions on photos they don't like - they just don't post any comments. That can be kind of frustrating because you can't, or at least I can't, figure out what's wrong with the pictures.
Anyway, I promis to comment on your pix especially the ones I don't like! (Maybe we can start a trend...)
All the best from New York
Paul
