Was photographing a lot many yeas ago, then "took a brake" until 2004, when i bought my new camera and headed into the digital world...
Currently using a Nikon D300 with vertical grip, a Sigma 18-125, a tokina 12-24, and a nikon 70-300 VR, and a sb800 flash. the old D70 is still in my posession as a reserve..
I don't really have a favourite theme, although i'm taking a lot of motorsports pictures, especially in the econommical "bilcross" cathegory and "autoslalom"-cathergory...
I'm a member og Kristiansund Kamera Klubb and also has some comittments in the Nordic Light-festival (www.nle.no) and is a board member of NSFF (Norwegian society for Photography)
Here in Photocommunity i hope to get a lot of comments on my pictures. Although i love getting positive comments, i also love getting constructive critical comments, as that's what i think i'll learn from when it comes to taking better pictures....
AND... in light of that, the content in my own comments to others, is my real and honest opinion. It might be subjective, but it is given in the best meaning.
You will probably not see many "great picture" or "nice work" standing alone without my opinion of the picture, and if i do, it's because everything that has to be said, is said by former commentators and i just want to give my approval to their comments.
I strongly believe that we can all, professionals and amateurs, improve our skills by exchanging hints, tricks and ideas in a community as Fotocommunity, and that's why i appreciate both receiving comments and giving them :-)

Yes, you were right about the photo needing more contrast. It was overcast that day so maybe a little off-camera flash set a stop above ambient (from any angle really) might have done the trick. And then of course there is always PS for post adjustments...
Thanks!
It's one of the most constructive critiques I've ever got on fc, and I'm really happy about it. As you say in your profile, that's the only way to improve one's skills, even if 'nice pic' or 'I love that one' are always warming to the heart.
Best regards, Massimo
I absolutely agree, but I have made this shot during walking, so it wasn't a stage photo, that's why I could not choose my position and the background, but perhaps I am not a professional, and I don't unconditioned reflexes yet :)
Thanks, and thanks to your TIP it looks indeed better......;-))
Much appreciated , your comments and tips are always welcome.........;-))))
Cheers.....................Fons

Many thanks for your comments.
Drummer was performing his drum solo & i had camera set at F4.0 at about 0/6 Sec at ISO 800 with a Canon 5D - 24-105mm L IS USM Lens.
Cheers Jamie
Thank you for your comment, yes it was a lucky shot and sometimes I post a pic and don't really know why it worked or didn't just that something is right or wrong, so I appreciate any comment, I am still learning what makes a good photo.
Thank you, Tor-Henrik, for your comments.
The "Green Dream Pond" is just a tiny pond
in a tiny park in the tiny hills west of Toronto.
But is has a unique Charakter of its own, which
I hope to have captured. It's the second such
place I have found in the last few years. The
other one is 200 km northeast of Toronto in
what we call "the bush" (woodlands).
Best regards from Canada,
Peter.
just found out that I haven't written here yet. Shame on me!!!
Well, was great meeting you in Kristiansund at the Nordic Light Festival, you are a very great guy and I am so very happy to call you a new friend!
Thank you for you're comment and youre critics, you are right about the horizon, I was so concentrated on the lines that I forgot to look at the horizon, next time I hope to do it better.
Thanks, Dirk.
"hope to see you at the festival ... "
