I didn't make it into the gallery, but i learned a lot from the voting.
Next time i will use much more time in post prosessing before posting pictures, I already got a much better version of "Lunch Time" after better post prosessing. (Removed noise, recovery of some of burn out parts)
Think maybe i will get better pictures in the future thanks to you.

Thanks for the visit and comments...the "blue on blue" was not PS work, as a matter of fact it needs a little PS work on it....I shot it at full focal length with a 2x teleconverter, which I know better...but, I was on a bridge looking down to the edge of a creek, with no way to get closer, and I knew they would not be like that for long, they are not mating because they are both males...a biologist friend of mine says that swallowtail butterflies have a short life span and tend to spend their time in twos or threes of the same sex and species, the only time the males and females get together is to mate....he thinks the male on the bottom is dying and the one on the top keeps trying to encourage him to start flying....nature is a lot more complex then I ever imagined....sorry, didn't mean to rattle on so.....best wishes, den

After that I did some digiart stuff to it so it looks like it is captured in a glass boll ...

The Grasshopper was not cooperative at all , it moved from one leaf to the other....because she was so heavy the leafs bend over and there she was full in the frame, it gave me the opportunity to shoot a few images this one turned out to be the best..;-))

The shadow of the lamp on the right was a little trick I played , I copied the left lamp with shadow and reversed it...paste it in the image because there was only one lamp..Just to make it a more perfect symmetric...;-))

The Dragonfly filled up the total frame ...
This shot is made with a 300mm lens plus 25mm extension tube , I could not go back because there was water , I did not had my swim suite on....;-))
What I can do is adding a little more space around and repost it if this is possible ...

Thank you so much for the gallery recomandation with "Lunch Time".I didn't make it into the gallery, but i learned a lot from the voting.
Next time i will use much more time in post prosessing before posting pictures, I already got a much better version of "Lunch Time" after better post prosessing. (Removed noise, recovery of some of burn out parts)
Think maybe i will get better pictures in the future thanks to you.

Hi Christane....Thanks for the visit and comments...the "blue on blue" was not PS work, as a matter of fact it needs a little PS work on it....I shot it at full focal length with a 2x teleconverter, which I know better...but, I was on a bridge looking down to the edge of a creek, with no way to get closer, and I knew they would not be like that for long, they are not mating because they are both males...a biologist friend of mine says that swallowtail butterflies have a short life span and tend to spend their time in twos or threes of the same sex and species, the only time the males and females get together is to mate....he thinks the male on the bottom is dying and the one on the top keeps trying to encourage him to start flying....nature is a lot more complex then I ever imagined....sorry, didn't mean to rattle on so.....best wishes, den

I took a image from a grass that has flowers like a plume , the name is:
Penissetum villosum
After that I did some digiart stuff to it so it looks like it is captured in a glass boll ...

The Grasshopper was not cooperative at all , it moved from one leaf to the other....because she was so heavy the leafs bend over and there she was full in the frame, it gave me the opportunity to shoot a few images this one turned out to be the best..;-))

The shadow of the lamp on the right was a little trick I played , I copied the left lamp with shadow and reversed it...paste it in the image because there was only one lamp..Just to make it a more perfect symmetric...;-))

The Dragonfly filled up the total frame ...
This shot is made with a 300mm lens plus 25mm extension tube , I could not go back because there was water , I did not had my swim suite on....;-))
What I can do is adding a little more space around and repost it if this is possible ...
Anyway, thanks for reminding me to work on this image ...;-))
