Costruita in legno nel 1714, senza un solo chiodo, per celebrare la vittoria di Pietro il Grande contro le truppe scandinave.
Trentamila scandole, fatto di legno Aspen, su ventidue cupole distinte su cinque tende compongono il nido ascendente.
Il legno aspen riflette una miriade di sfumature cambiando il colore delle cupole a seconda della luce. Una vista spettacolare e difficile da credere è stato fatto con il legno.
Cathedral of the Transfiguration on the island of Kiji (North of Lake Onega) Russia.
Was built of wood without a single nail in 1714 to celebrate the victory of Peter the Great on the Scandinavian troops.
Thirty thousand shingles, made of aspen wood, on twenty-two separate cupolas (domes) on five tents compose the ascending nest.
The aspen wood reflects a myriad of hues changing the color of the cupolas depending on the light. A spectacular sight and hard to believe it was done with wood.

Je me revois sur cette ile, il y a une quinzaine d'année où j'ai eu si froid. C'est un très bon souvenir.Je remarque qu'il y a des travaux de réfection.Jolie photo.
