eyes of one thousand blows
I took this picture in London just off the Portobello Road. I had just come back from a month-long stay in Japan and suddenly found my fellow countrymen ten times more aggressive, impolite and spiteful than ever before (lots of jostling in the underground, short-tempered shopworkers, etc.) But actually I had gotten so used to the Japaneses' excessive politeness that anything else by comparison would seem on the rude side.
Why am I telling you this? To explain the title of the photo. To encourage you to look at the eyes, to consider the facial expression in relation to the rest of the photo.
Please let me know what you think about the photo and certainly direct me to your photos so I can critique them, too.
Alain Bouvier 10/10/2007 12:11thanks for the explanation.
I like the shot and your message.
Everybody will give you an advice of the shot we didn't take. So critics are easy :(
Anyway, i would have first crop the image for a square format to delete the 2 cars on the right (they are are a bit distractive) and i would have desaturated the color to make it more dramatic. But that me.
You're welcome to comment my images.
