OMAGGIO A RAYMOND PEYNET - 2

Two Images to remember, very modestly and by my way, the great PEYNET, 16 years from his death, and the fresh and Ironic atmospheres of His Creatures.

Raymond Peynet has been a French illustrator, famous to have created, in 1942, the Persons' in love characters.

Born in Paris in 1908, when fifteen he was admitted to the School of the Arts Applied to the industry near the School Germain Pilon that it was found really in front of the cafee of his parents, from a little transferred by Auvergne to the French capital.

Later he worked for an advertising agency in Paris, drawing labels of perfumes and boxes of chocolates and realizing various publicities. Subsequently it began to publish his sketches in the Parisian newspapers as her Rire, Rire à deux, Paris Magazine.

In 1942 the life of Peynet cames to turn. While he had been sitting on a bench in front of the music kiosk of Valence (become in the 1982 historical monument), Raymond imagined a long haired violinist playing alone and a girl that listened to him: were born the famous fiancés. The images of the fiancés made the turn of the world, on books, postcards, postage stamps, porcelains, medals, scarfs, dolls, statues.

Georges Brassens said that he would not have written "Les amoureux des bancs publics" without the Persons in love of Peynet, to which also Charles Aznavour has devoted the song "Les amoureux de papier."
