Castle Gaasbeek (Belgium)
The original castle on this spot was built in the Middle Ages around 1240 as a strong fortress.
It was given its present outlook during a giant restoration in 1887-1889.
The authentic testament of the world famous painter Peter Paul Rubens is kept in the castle.
(the pebbles on the access path were really coloured this way, no software colour manipulation)
