SANTA AGNESE in AGONE CUPOLA
Sant'Agnese in Agone è un titolo cardinalizio istituito da papa Leone X il 6 luglio 1517, quando, in occasione del concistoro del 1º luglio 1517, aumentò notevolmente il numero dei cardinali. Esso fu soppresso da papa Innocenzo XI il 5 ottobre 1654 e fu trasferito a quello di Sant'Agnese fuori le mura.
Nel 1998 Giovanni Paolo II lo riammise come diaconia.
Sant'Agnese in Agone is a cardinal title set up by Pope Leo X on July 6, 1517, when, on the occasion of the consistory of July 1, 1517, the number of cardinals increased considerably. It was suppressed by Pope Innocent XI on 5 October 1654 and was transferred to that of Sant'Agnese outside the walls.
In 1998 John Paul II re-opened it as a diaconia
