The Living Forest (467) : Silver-washed Fritillary

The silver-washed fritillary is a butterfly that was in decline in western Europe for much of the 1970s and 1980s, but seems to be coming back to many of its old territories, probably as a result of climate change.

In Belgium however, it’s still a rare wanderer.

Dutch name : Keizersmantel
German name : Kaisermantel
Latin name : Argynnis paphia
