Good Night, Cadiz
exercice No. 11 in the French FC: a city by night
Cádiz, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Western Europe, with archaeological remains dating to 3100 years was founded by the Phoenicians. It has been a principal home port of the Spanish Navy since the 18th century. Situated on a narrow slice of land surrounded by the sea‚ Cádiz is, in most respects, a typically Andalusian city with a wealth of attractive vistas and well-preserved historical landmarks. The older part of Cádiz within the remnants of the city walls is commonly referred to as the Old Town.

At the end of a weeklong buss trip through Andalusia, we had a Sherry trial session close to Cadiz,. Must admit, I did not see much of this faszinating city. Looks like I have to repeat the trip. I also have a desire to see Granada again.Thank you for inspiring my memory.
