Nikon D60 F5.0 105mm 1/6000 ISO400
To the right of this picture is a field where the battle of Bosworth took place on 22 August 1485. It lasted some 2 hours where Richards forces lead by the Duke of Norfolk, and Henrys forces lead by the Earl of Oxford. Richard was eventually cornered by a large group of polearm fighters who unhorsed him before they hacked and smashed into him. This is the moment of Shakespeare's famous line: "A horse, my kingdom for a horse!"It is unsure what happensed to Richards body and Henry was then crowned King ending the war of the Roses, and Henry VII started a dynasty that would last for over 100 years, the Tudors.
