Candida Höfer Foundation
This week I had the opurtunity to meet one of the most famous and awarded German photographers Ms. Candida Höfer in her "Candida Höfer Foundation". This building was built by Hans Schilling 1958 for the well known photographers
Karl Udo Schmölz and Walde Huth.
Ms. Candida Höfer started her career here in this Studio of K.U.Schmölz and later studied at the famous Bernd and Hilla Becher in Düsseldorf.
Our meeting with C.Höfer was very extraordinary (no photos allowed!) but for me a deep impression.

I can imagine Berthold. .. some impressions are lasting ones and I think your encounter was one of those momentsNow for the photo:it is very well composednand beautifully presented in monochrome . It seems a bit like a collage , something very intriging.

"framed" birches – at first i mistook them for a giant outdoor painting or installation! nature turned into an example of oversized art displayed as a central panel piece on a expressive roof… it's realized in such a natural, effortless way – great! beautiful, with the real life tree looking on from behind – some tongue-in-cheek humor, some irony is lying in that… greetings, sabine.Mauro Tomassetti 20/02/2016 23:34
