great play with perspective and perception! and not easy for us viewers to orient ourselves in this world of carnival because both the extremely low point of view and the colossal size of those colorful things we see surprise and puzzle us. hard to identify what we see – but that's exactly what carnival is all about, isn't it?! disguising, defamiliarizing the familiar, making us delight in exaggerations… of size, of noise, of color, of pleasure ; ))! and if it gets too overwhelming? well, we can always pause and take a look at the mirror image in the stool: people's legs, a patch of grass, an alley, details of a colorful stand, a sqatting photgrapher – and it all falls into place again! ; )) greetings, sabine.
