Chimps of Kibale NP

During my stay in Uganda, a visit to the chimps was unavoidable. Kibale is one of the major places with a total of 1360 chimps on a surface of 766 km2. There are 2 ways of booking. The usual one hour stay (taken by most visitors) or habituation, which allows you to stay 4 hours with them, once you traced them. Nelson, one of the rangers who was in charge of us, has a different interpretation of time, as the 4 hours turned out to be only 2 hours ! Visitors do make efforts to observe the chimps. Coming from all continents, traveling long distances to reach Kibale (overnight stays in rather expensive lodges !) and paying extra for the habituation, they are entitled to stay the full 4 hours ????. Things to be considered by some of the rangers.
