Denmark | Rubjerg Knude Fyr |
An old lighthouse built at a wrong place. Perfect for the seafaring, but in the middle of Rubjerg Knude, a migrating dune, it couldn´t stand for long.
Today its still a famous landmark and right now efforts are in progress to secure the tower. Therefore the light dome has been removed temporarily.

...hallo Matthias...Manchmal durchstöbern ich eine Gallerie ein zweites oder drittes Mal, um meine Wahrnehmung zu "überprüfen".
Und wieder bin ich bei diesem wunderbaren Foto hängen geblieben.
Die Klarheit, die Farben, die Perspektive, der Bildschnitt und damit die Stimmigkeit bringen mich wieder zum Verweilen.
Ich wünschte, ich wäre schon einmal dort gewesen. So kann ich nur in der Vorstellung die Luft atmen die um den Turm weht.

Great shot that shows the characteristics of this lighthouse well. Located on top of the Danish Northsea coast. No longer in use, but it might have served its purpose well, and saved lives. Sorry the say I havn't been there yet : )Greetings, Thomas
