I had activity holidays in the Black-Forest and here I met one of the most idyllic places:
the Feldsee just at the foot of the Feldberg, which is the highest mountain outside the Alps in Germany.
It is the highest lake as well at 1113 m amsl.
Protected as nature park area, no swimming allowed. No roads leading to the lake, access only by hiking trails.
You can watch the fishes in the pristine water along the bank.
