Mai 2021, ein tagesauflug nach Würzburg. Von einer der Brücken, die über den Main führen, war die wundervolle Festung Marienberg zu sehen. Für mich immer wieder beeindruckend, wie sich historische Gebäude in unser heutiges Bild einfügen und uns immer wieder an vergangene Tage erinnern. Mich fasziniert dann immer wieder der Gedanke, dass sich vor langer Zeit dort das tägliche Leben abgespielt hat. Und ein echter Hingucker ist diese Festung hier auch, besonders wie sie oben auf dem kleinen Marienberg tront ...

May 2021, a day trip to Würzburg. The marvellous Marienberg Fortress could be seen from one of the bridges that cross the River Main. I'm always impressed by how historical buildings blend into our modern-day landscape and remind us of days gone by. I am always fascinated by the thought that daily life took place there a long time ago. And this fortress here is also a real eye-catcher, especially the way it towers on top of the small Marienberg ...
