This is a wonderful photo from the Gili islands that I had visited more than 30 years ago, taking a very small boat with an outrigger and many people on board with their goods from the market. There were not many people living there on the beautiful islands these days, some of them unfortunately suffering from malaria. But the landscape and the beaches with so many colourful coral fish I will never forget. There was nearly no tourisme then on the island of Lombok with just one hotel recently opened. It was an island that confronted you with life just like it had been hundreds of years before. I still have photos of these days that i am going to look at again, after the inspiration you gave me with this beautiful sunset image.greetings,
