Immature (°) Spoonbill
The spoonbill is a pure white wading bird with a remarkable long bill that likes to live in shallow wetlands.
My shot shows an immature (°) specimen that was born in spring this year.
In Belgium, it's a very rare bird and a brood is even rarer here...!!!
Dutch name : Lepelaar
German name : Löffler
Latin name : Platalea leucorodia
(°) immature is the stage between juvenile and adult
