Islam v/s Zoroaster

Iran/Persia
ancient Persepolis

Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the old Achaemenid empire(550-330) one of the most ancient sites of civilization finally conquered by Alexander the Great. Visiting the ruins of Persepolis is really a breathtaking experience as the whole complex is raised in mid-desert, a walled platform with five palaces and halls with many entrances.
Persepolis was destroyed by a fire set by the drunk soldiers of Alexander the Great celebrating the occupation of the famous empire, a fact that enraged fiercely Alexander.
Now the Islamic faith has irrevocably replaced the old Zoroastrian religion.
