London by Night No. 11 - Transportation Icons

Ah, the heady mix of a soupçon of diesel, the fragrances of passing perfumes,
the smell of chestnuts roasting on a streetcorner, and the nippy November night air...

Here, two London icons of transportation share the street-stage, the stolid and stately
Black TaxiCab and a modern example of the commodious red double decker bus.

Perhaps I should have titled this "London by Night No. 11/11/11, for it was taken on that palindromic date.
But, November being a favorite time to reflect on previous autumn photography as well as joyfully anticipate
Holiday Season travel, it was fun to aim the "blindfolded dart" at a hard drive and have it land where it could
bring forth a flood of happy camera-bedecked memories exploring this vibrant metropolis...for the first time
since 1984. Jolly good to get back, and in Holiday Season to boot.
