What a fellow and character you show us here!
The portrait is in its basics very good even you choose a more centred composition. The main issue, his head is in the lower part of the picture which is more interesting than his huge head. Of course the head belongs to this fellow and is a part of his portrait but it does not make much sense to spoil the composition only for showing his head which is very dominant in your composition. Further the background bokeh is nice but the bright overexposed part at the left distracting from the main subject and draws too much attention. A crop at the left and right and at the top will solve all the mentioned issues.
Now to the main subject and his specs. To avoid much reflection in the glasses the use of a polarizer is suggestible. Eyes are very important for a portrait as they can tell the viewer much about the person.
As for your processing I find the contrast nice and so on the gray scale but due your processing some areas are burned out which is a minus for the portrait! And at the end your portrait is leaking of sharpness! Equal if you take it on film or digital at the moment you show it here on the internet it becomes equal and excuses nothing!

    Good luck to you!
