This bird is strictly nocturnal and has exceptionally sharp eyesight
They are very vocal so they are more likely to be heard than seen.

Unfortunately, the night curassow is severely threatened by habitat destruction and hunting.
Its habitat is being destroyed by deforestation, mining and other forms of human activity.
Conservation measures should ensure its survival.

Dieser Vogel ist streng nachtaktiv und hat ein außergewöhnlich scharfes Sehvermögen
Sie sind sehr stimmgewaltig, so dass man sie eher hört als sieht.

Leider ist der Nachthokko durch die Zerstörung seines Lebensraums und die Jagd stark bedroht.
Sein Lebensraum wird durch Abholzung, Bergbau und andere Formen menschlicher Aktivitäten zerstört.
Schutzmaßnahmen sollten sein Überleben sichern.
