PAINSWICK

Two weeks ago we had a lovely cold and sunny day, I did a tour of Painswick which looked really great in the morning sun.

“Painswick is quite often referred to as the Queen of the Cotswolds due to it's fine buildings of pale grey limestone. These are a reflection of the town's former prosperity during 300 years of activity in the cloth industry.” (Painswick Tourist Information Guide)”

a very nice view from the gate (or window)
I like the strong colours of the green grass and the blue sky!

In 1963 I spent some time at Churchdown, halfway betweeen Gloucester and Cheltenham, and I remember
well our trips to the Cotswolds, including a tour of Painswick, the rocco gardens and the Manicured Forest. - Thank you for recalling to me those days of
pleasure, hospitality and unusually high temperatures.
