Phra Pathommachedi

With its 120 meters this stupa is the second highest buddhist chedi in the world. For centuries this stupa was overgrown by the jungle and was rediscovered in the nineteenth century. The building is one of the most important landmarks of Thailand.
The name Phra Pathommachedi means the first holy stupa and it was given by king Mongkut Rama IV.
