Garden built at the time of the "Portuguese World Exhibition" (1940), an event commemorating the 800th anniversary of the Independence of Portugal and the 300th anniversary of the Restoration of Independence, designed by the architect Cottineli Telmo. The Luminous Fountain in the center of the garden is also from this period.

AT THE FOUNTAIN ARE the coats of arms of the cities and provinces of Portugal and former Portuguese colonies, in a total of 32 large sets.
