Romantic Scottish Evening

So we are back from our vacation in Scotland. I had some time to shot some landscapes and visited some of the iconic places on the Isle of Skye. I definitely need to go back autumn or winter to get some real good light.

One of this iconic places which was on my must have list was the view from Elgol to the Cullins. It’s such an amazing place and I hope this shot transports it a little bit. It was quite a walk from the harbor to this location over all the rocks. It’s not far but it takes some time to find a path and climb over the rocks. So I didn’t wait until it went totally dark - what I usually tend to do – and headed back to the harbor with my wife. It was also very slippery on the wet stones what made me think twice which standpoint to choose.

While I couldn’t catch the sun I find this light situation also very attractive in particular combined whit the long tie exposure which gives that soft look. So I strengthened this romantic mood and the softness in the post processing.

I hope you will like it, too.

Constructive critique is very welcome.
