The Living Forest (296) : Blackberries
In the forest, blackberries are ripening at full speed at this present time, going from red to black.
These soft and juicy fruits are popular for use in desserts, jams and sometimes wine or liqueur.
Evidence from archeological excavations suggests that blackberries have been consumed by humans since thousands of years.
Dutch name : Braam (ook Bosbraam genoemd)
German name : Brombeere
Latin name : Rubus fruticosus

If it were not so dry here there would be some berries out in the wild. This year, very little wild fruit has been produced due to the drought in California. Good shot on this one.-Regards,
