The Wheel of Time

"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again." [Jordan, Robert; "The Wheel of Time"]
This restored millwheel can be found in the beautiful "Steinachtal". I found it during a trip with my mate Thomas Vorwerg and we decided to try some long exposures and see, what the results would look like. We were quite satisfied and unlike Thomas, I decided to keep the edge in the lower right corner to get some sense for the scale of this area.
The picture was manually blended of 2 exposures (2s for the sky and water, 30s for the shadow areas) with luminosity masks in Photoshop to keep/restore the details for the sky and water. To get these slow shutter speeds I had to mount my ND64 filter (6 stops).
