Through the White Birches
In VanDusen Gardens - again .... I have a membership there and visit often throughout all seasons (with Spring and Fall being my favourites ). It used to be a golf course, and I skated there on the ponds after work with my friends (in the 70s when we still had colder Winters).

This picture looks like it was taken in high def it is so sharp! Fabulous colours with the golden trees peeking through and I like the textures with the smooth green grass and the rough bark on the trees.Hugs and have a good weekend Adele.

i just love the atmosphere of memory and nostalgia you succeed in establishing in this shot by adding your little caption to it: it's a time lapse effect: autumn morphs into winter, and i'm picturing you and your friends now, bundled up in warm winter clothes, rosy-cheeked and happy, with your breaths showing in the crisp winter air, practicing some "after-work pirouettes" ; )) on van dusen's frozen pond, laughing and having fun… a beautiful autumn impression once again, adele! i particularly like the orange tree (a larch?) in the back and the composition, with the one sturdy birch very close to the camera! hugs, sabine.Mark Billiau. 28/10/2011 9:26
