Washington Springtime No.2 - Cherry Blossoms in East Potomac Park

A major part of Washington's appeal in Springtime is its lovely cherry blossom trees. And while the most iconic
scenes are those around the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial, these blossoming trees are also in profusion in
nearby East Potomac Park, the long strip of parkland that sits between the Washington Channel and the Potomac.

This view of the trees along Ohio Drive also looks across the Channel to The Wharf, the newly developed
area along Washington's Southwest waterfront, where several Potomac cruise vessels are docked.

It was captured on Adox SilverMax-100 black and white film in a Pentax ME-Super, through a Tamron 35-135mm f/3.5-4.2 MF lens wearing a No.25 red filter, on an inviting April afternoon in 2018. This is its first appearance.
