White Water Lily
Water lilies grow only in stand still freshwaters, like large ponds and lakes.
The white petals often have a pinkish tinge, as can be seen in the shot.
Hundreds of years ago, the roots of this plant were crushed and mixed with wine by monks and nuns as……. CONTRA-aphrodisiac !
Did it work ? No idea (and I’m not gonna try it to find out !)

Stunning view of this lily as it stands out well against the darker water. nice focus. It seems that just about everything has been touted as an aphrodisiac at one time or another. To the near extinction of many of those species.Regards,
