Ich schleppe nicht gerne viel Ausrüstung .... ;-)
Hi,
my intention has always been, to get the best results out of "reasonable" equipment. Reasonable - that means to me: Easy to carry, easy to handle and easy to pay for ;-)
Meanwhile I ended up with three pieces of the Sony RX 10 (Mark 1 and 2) and two Canon G3X - all bought brandnew - but a few years after their launch, so the prices already had dropped significant.
From "former times" - but still in regular use, I´ve got four pieces of the Sony HX 50 (I still love it) and two Canon SX 270 for the "daily use".
The number of identical cameras may irritate you. The answer is easy: After getting acustomed to something that I like, I always go for a backup ... which results in going for a backup for the backup ... and so on :-) .... in fact, two of my HX 50 are beginning to make problems after only 8 years of daily use now ;-)
Anyway ... as you can see, the 1" chip is the end of the line for me. I often thought about buying "bigger" equipment, but always came to the conclusion, that good bridgecams are the best match for my needs.
I am not into "point and shoot" but on the other hand I rareley make trips just to take photos. For that reason I don´t have time to change lenses, to use a tripod or do any other fuss that goes far beyond choosing zoom and selecting aperture and/or speed.
Maybe - when retired next year- I will change my mind about that.
Till then it´s up to you to decide, if working with "inferior" equipment (seen from a pro´s view) in spite of its drawbacks can deal with satisfiying results or not.
