oh, what a beauty she is! in my mind owls are "girls", don't know why… and wow, WHAT A LOOK! so gentle, so tired, to sad! the gleaming black eyes… SO expressive! i can perfectly understand all the symbolism and myth surrounding them. and i can perfectly understand your excitement! i have never seen a big owl in its wild natural habitat. wait, that's not true… once i heard a terrible scream somewhere on the cemetery not far from our home. i mistook it for a kitty in distress, and went out with a flashlight to rescue it. picture me at 2.30 in the morning roaming the lawns of the cemetery… what i found was two young screech owl fledgelings in their respective trees opposite each other, calling for their parents to come and feed them, i suppose… – – a very beautiful (and strangely moving!) wildlife capture! hugs, sabine.Christian Villain 17/07/2015 8:27
