Built with black lava stones in the corner of a triangular tower of the walls of the Norman Swabian Castle of Milazzo (NE Sicily).The tower with its sharp looks at the summer solstice, while the eye to the left of the photo looks to the direction of Mecca.
The pupils spherical in shape, come out from the plaster and create the shadow, so well corneas that with their step creates a shadow that simulates the human eyelid.
