Abandonamiento...
The abandoning of elderly people is so common,.. Yet is so heartbreaking to watch. Try to imagine yourself in this situation on a daily basis.... Could you live like this?
I use to work in community where we provided care for them. To see this in a daily basis where the family would leave thier parents there and would hardly ever visit them. This elderly individuals craved for attention and as an employee, I was discouraged not to spend more then the needed time. I just couldn't do this, I created some beautiful relationships with a few of them,.. But to see how some felt at times was gut-wrenching.....
