      Thankyou. This public art is much-photographed, and it features a lot in advertising, on the sides of vans et cetera. There has been a fashion for huge works of public art in this country in the last 20 years - and this was one of the first. It was a kind of pioneer - and is relatively unsophisticated compared to later sculptures such as the giant horses heads in falkirk. When I photograph the Angel - I like to have figures in the picture - to indicate the scale of the thing. Without figures - you cannot tell how large it is. Mark.
