Approach to Glasgow Central Station

A pleasant bit of serendipity for a train-loving traveler upon discovering that my
hotel room provided such a fine perch for shooting the train activity below..

The real glamour-stars crossing this viaduct over the River Clyde are the Virgin/Alstom Pendolino high-speed tilt trains (*) from London but there is also lots of electric and diesel MU activity to be seen arriving and departing Central Station (**).

Speedy glamour-train or not, all traffic must observe the 20 miles per hour speed limit.

To the left of the viaduct, the supports for a previous span sprout foliage on this damp November afternoon.
