at the river Ilz
I was home in Bavaria for a week and took some shots.
This pic is supposed to represent what i like so much about that part of the world, and what i miss a little bit here in Ireland. Forrest with romantic Rivers. It is a little Oasis of Wilderness in an otherwise pretty much industrialized Country with little Tourism.
This picture shows the River Ilz in a Place called Mausmuehle (engl.: mouse mill :-), about 10 km north of Passau in the southern part of the bavarian forrest.
If you ever come to the south of Germany i would highly recommend to visit the bavarian forrest. A beautiful area which joins up with the bohemian forrest in the czech republic and has also a national park where otherwise in Germany extinct wildlife still finds a home.
