Blanchland, Northumberland, England

The area around the village of Blanchland is an area of hill-farming , and woodland, and of relic traces of lead-mining from previous centuries

hello harold. It is described as an engine house. It probably housed a steam-driven pump - to pump water from lead-mines. As for the scene - i was taken with the darkness - and the way the low winer sun faintly lit the strange patterns formed by the old rosebay willowherb.
