Blühender Schlehdorn

Die Schlehdornsträucher eröffnen den Reigen der Baumblüte.

Die Dornen werden über 4 cm lang – wie geschaffen für den Neuntöter zum Aufspießen seiner Beute.
Dachte Luther bei seiner Bibelübersetzung im "Brief an die Korinther" 12:7 an diese langen Dornen, als er statt Dorn "Pfahl ins Fleisch" schrieb?

"Und auf dass ich mich nicht der hohen Offenbarung überhebe, ist mir gegeben ein Pfahl ins Fleisch,
nämlich des Satans Engel, der mich mit Fäusten schlage, auf dass ich mich nicht überhebe."
