Eine s.g. Ziegenlippe ( Xerocomus subtomentosus), die zu den Boletaceae (Dickröhrlingsverwandte) gehört. Umgeben ist der Vertreter hier von s.g. goldenem Frauenhaarmoos (Polytrichum commune Hedw.). Gemacht im Oktober 2017 nahe Hattingen in einem Buchenwald. Im Englischen wird der Pilz auch "langweiliger" Röhrling genannt... was ich nicht so ganz verstehen kann...

A Suede Bolete (Xerocomus subtomentosus), belonging to the Boletaceae, surrounded by common haircap moss (Polytrichum commune Hedw.). The photo was taken in a beech forest 10.2017 near Hattingen, NRW, Germany. It is absolutely beyond me, but sometimes this fungus is also called "Boring" Bolete... why? ... I don't know...
