CAUCASUS: xinaliq
xinaliq is old, very old. xinaliq (khinalig or khinalug) is among most ancient and continuously inhabited places in the world, with more than 5,000 years history. located almost at the end of the world just a few kilometers to dagestan, around 2,500m above sea-level. in summer you need a good jeep and a brave driver, in winter you need a lada niva. the location serves as a bulwark. the inhabitants, the khinalug or ketch khalkhs speak their own language, the khinalug, a language not spoken by more than 1,500 people. they are peasants, their carpets are famous. their houses are like eagle nests, the village itself an eagle nest surrounded by incredible landscape.

Oh, mal was in Farbe?Kann ich aber hier sehr gut nachvollziehen. Gerade das schöne Blau wirkt sehr gut im Bild.
