Cold Front -Kaelte-welle

South of Namibia: Namibia has it's rainy season in summer from December to April with clouds coming from the north i.e.central Africa..However, the south, adjacent to the Cape Province of South Africa sometimes gets winter rain from clouds coming from South Africa. The shot was taken in June, late afternoon near Aus, the coldest place in Namibia where there have been occasional light snowfalls. Temperature at the time of taking the photo was -8C and the ground and all cars where white in the morning.

Der Süden Namibias: Namibia bekommt im Sommer Regen von Dezember bis April von Wolken die vom Norden, also zentral Afrika kommen. Der Süden des Landes bekommt manchmal späten Regen vonWolken die vom Süden, der Kap Provinz aus Sude Afrika . Es ist dann klirrend kalt. Aus (so genannt weil dort die Eisenbahnlinie noch in deutscher Kolonialzeit gebaut endete, also "aus"war) ist der kälteste Ort in Namibia. Gelegentlich gibt es dort leichte Schneefälle. Zur Zeit der Aufnahme war es -8C und am nächsten Morgen in Aus waren Autos und Landschaft mit einem leichten Hauch von weiss bedeckt.
