Conowingo Dam
The Conowingo Dam in northeastern Maryland harnesses the rushing Susquehanna River for hydroelectric power.
The dam also carries U.S. Route 1 across the river. The waters on this side of the dam are a popular fishing spot, both for human and avian anglers. One such winged predator will dine well this afternoon as it swoops down to make a catch (lower center). The image was shot on Kodak Ektar-100 color film, but I've grown to like it more in this conversion to black and white.
