Cornflower
The intense blue Cornflower is native to Europe.
The flower grew in the past often as a ‘weed’ in crop fields, hence its name.
This species however is now endangered by overuse of herbicides that destroys its natural habitat.

Latin name : Centaurea cyanus

Stunning image. I love how the intense blue of the cornflower harmonizes with the luxuriant green and the bokeh which so sets it off. I don't think I've ever seen a cornflower until now. Sorry to hear it is endangered.Compliments,
