Daisies parade

I guess everybody knows Daisies, those pretty small flowers, native to Europe, but widely naturalised in most temperate regions over the world.

Daisies grow especially in grasslands and they’re coming back every year again and again, but the first ones are always extra fresh and beautiful, especially with the petals tipped red as the result of a cold night.

It is thought that the name "daisy" is a corruption of "day's eye", because the whole flowerhead closes at night and opens again in the morning.

Dutch name : Madeliefje
German name : Gänseblümchen
Latin name : Bellis perennis (which translated means ‘eternal beauty’)
