Afternoon, 4 p.m. During our patrol we stop by to have view into the downhill located village. It looks like a idyllic, rural scene, however, the appearances are deceptive. Somewhere hidden behind the walls, within the compounds or in one of the ditches they are watching us. We must not even think about trying to get down the road into the village. It might be a deadly decision.

It took another few minutes, before they attacked us anyway.


Nachmittags, ca. 16:00 Uhr. Auf unserer Patroullienfahrt halten wir an einem Beobachtungspunkt, um das talwärts gelegene Dorf zu überwachen. Es sieht friedlich und idyllisch aus, aber der Schein trügt. Irgendwo hinter einem der Wälle, aus einem Straßengraben heraus oder aus einem der Häuser beobachten sie uns. Wir dürfen nicht einmal darüber nachdenken, die Straße ins Dorf zu nehmen.
Es wäre möglicherweise eine tödliche Entscheidung.

Wenige Minuten später greifen sie uns dort oben an.
