Florian Caffè
It is the oldest Italian coffee, and together with Café Procope in Paris, the oldest café in the world. It was opened on 29 December 1720 by Floriano Francesconi.
Giacomo Casanova courted "his" ladies there and Carlo Goldoni went inside while still a boy. Famous people like Gasparo Gozzi, Parini, Pellico, Lord Byron, Foscolo, Charles Dickens, Goethe, Rousseau, Gabriele d'Annunzio used to go there too.

What a place really,Patricia!...Blends so nicely with the great historic past of the city..But, among the names, you've missed that of great Luchino Visconti sipping his morning coffee here while planning his masterpiece "Death in Venice" He mentioned it in one of his interviews!
