From Durango to Silverton by Railroad
Going to Silverton by Railroad means going back nearly 130 years.
It was a sunny day when we started with that historic railroad. We had to cover a distance of 45 miles as well as an enormous altitude difference.
However, to travel in Presidential Class is quite luxurious and the big advantage is this wagon is the last one so that you are able to observe the train most of the time in the anfractuous territory.
Whenever I view that picture I still smell the aroma of the hot chocolate we get served with peppermint from the lady in historic robe...
